The China Readiness Assessment was developed by Technomic Asia, a market strategy and management consulting firm operating in China since 1984. Through its experience assisting over 200 companies entering China in the past 20 years.

Executives at Technomic Asia evaluated the results from its experience of over 500 client assignments on China entry and expansion for many of the leading companies in the world.
This experience indicated that clients who were more “ready” for entry or expansion into China achieved greater success.
Technomic collated and organized this experience into a descriptive Readiness model with relevant dimensions and indicators which would identify a company’s relative state of Readiness.
In-depth interviews with experienced clients and with leaders of other “successful” foreign companies in China were conducted to validate and enhance the structure and approach.
